Pride & Prejudice One Day Tour – Lady Catherine, Mr Collins and Mr Darcy

Pride & Prejudice One Day Tour – Lady Catherine, Mr Collins and Mr Darcy

Visit Rosings Park, Hunsford Parsonage and the interior of Pemberley.

Our guide will meet you at Grantham Station, and you will travel to Hunsford Parsonage for morning coffee and a tour of the house, gardens and church. The owner of the house will regale you with tales from behind the camera, and you will have a chance to see her private photos of the filming days. The ‘proposal room’ still has the original wallpaper that the BBC used all those years ago!

Later in the morning you will begin your journey northwards, and visit Rosings Park, garden and grounds. You will see Lady Catherine’s drawing room, piano room, Darcy’s bedroom and the famous staircase that Darcy runs up after his disastrous proposal and the very familiar approaches to the house. You will take lunch here (not included)

After lunch you travel on to take in the delights of the location used for the interior of Pemberley. You will see the very famous yellow staircase, the piano room where Darcy realised what a gem Elizabeth was, and Darcy’s study and bedroom. You will have chance to take refreshments here before your guide takes you on to Stafford station for your onward/homeward journey, around 5:30pm.
