Jane Austen Walking Tour of Bath

The Assembly Rooms, The Circus and
The Royal Crescent
Meeting
Your guide will meet you at Bath Railway station or at your nearby hotel, and take you for morning coffee at Sally Lunn’s, one of the oldest houses in Bath, and maybe try a Sally Lunn bun?
Your day tour includes all the jewels of Regency Bath known by Jane Austen, including the Assembly Rooms, Royal Crescent, The Circus, Abbey Church Yard, and much more. As well as the stunning architecture, many of the lodgings lived in by Jane can still be seen today.
Lunch
Your tour includes a light lunch (from the lunch set menu for 2 courses) at the Pump Rooms (see this link for menu options Set Lunch Menu) and you will have a chance to taste ‘the waters’ just as Jane’s characters did in the novels.
After lunch you will also have the opportunity to visit the world famous Jane Austen Centre which is a permanent exhibition, situated in an original Georgian townhouse. The exhibition tells the story of Jane’s time in Bath, including the effect that living here had on her and her writing.
Tea
After a full tour of the museum, (and a spot of shopping in the centre’s gift shop) you will have the opportunity to take the Lady Catherine’s Proper Cream Tea in the Regency tearoom (included). This is an afternoon tea with two warm scones served with Dorset clotted cream and seasonal jam, along with beverages of your choice.
You will then be guided back to your hotel or to Bath station for your onward/homeward journey.
